Abstract submissions for paper presentations should be sent online via modernlesme.sempozyumu@uskudar.edu.tr. The final deadline for abstract submission is 1 February 2026.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
● Abstracts must be written in Turkish or English.
● The total length of the abstract, excluding the title and author name(s), must not exceed 250 words. The abstract should be written as a single paragraph without indentation.
● References should not be included in the abstract text.
● The abstract should clearly state the purpose, methodology, findings, and discussion, and must include a minimum of three and a maximum of five keywords.
● The author’s full name should appear centered below the title, with the surname written in capital letters. An asterisk (*) after the surname should correspond to a footnote providing the author’s details (academic title, institutional affiliation, contact information, and ORCID number). This footnote should appear only on the first page, be justified on both margins, written in Times New Roman, 10-point font size, and single-spaced.
● The heading “Abstract” should be written in all capital letters, centered, in 12-point bold font. The abstract and keywords should be in regular font, 11-point size, and 1.5 line spacing.
● Names of newspapers, books, journals, and similar publications mentioned in the text should be written in italics.
Paper Presentation Guidelines
● Oral presentations may be delivered in Turkish or English.
● The presentation language must match the language of the written paper.
● The duration of each oral presentation is 15 minutes.
● All oral presentations will be conducted in person.
Full Paper Submission Guidelines
● The maximum length of the full paper is 7,500 words. Papers must follow the formatting rules of The Chicago Manual of Style.
● Full papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word format to modernlesme.sempozyumu@uskudar.edu.tr no later than 1 April 2026.
● Papers that successfully pass the peer-review process will be published as an edited volume by an international publishing house.
